Grave injustices are being done here. I need help to make them right.

I’ve given up on trying to get a legal name change here. I know I won’t be able to start any kind of business or even get a job here either. I am being deliberately held back. My freedom and agency have been denied. It seems my only option is to leave.

There is no future here. The city dwells only in a long-dead past.

Please help me escape.

Several years ago I had Thyroid Cancer.

One of the easiest forms of cancer to treat. Apart from all the x-rays and biopsies, there was little radiation required, and no chemotherapy at all.

I mean, it was still a long, slow process of doctor, clinic and hospital visits, but once I had the surgery, I recovered quickly, and now, only require a synthetic hormone supplement: one tiny pill, daily. Even the scar it left on my neck, just above the collar-bone is faded and easily camouflaged with necklaces and scarves.

I’ve been very lucky and remain cancer-free today, but in the back of my mind, its like I’m waiting for Cancer’s return.

AI for Science

This is why I’ve always had great hope for AI. To solve one of the world’s most difficult problems. Human disease.

Especially after I saw what AlphaFold could do.

It would be a depressing shame if we never got to that point because AI is only being used for evil.
